Email Functionality

We've added the ability to have a copy of messages posted on RTS Messages, http://www.recteamstats.com/intouch sent to a list of email addresses via email. for right now you have to email recteamstats@gmail.com with the people that you want to receive the messages and the group name, but we will soon have the ability to subscribe and unsubscribe to any group you choose.

In addition now if you post a message that has a link starting with http:// it will add a link to the front of your email.

Firefox... finally

Sorry it took so long but RecTeamStats is now working on Firefox, if you haven't tried this program yet, it's one of our favorites and you can download it from our site, http://www.recteamstats.com/start/index.php, just go to the bottom of the page.

The Players Section

We have added the ability to attach an email address to any players name on www.recteamstats.com, so on the public side of the site team members can email each other.

We also added a new status for players, they can now be active, cut or a sub. Subs will appear on the public side so if someone on the team is going to miss a game and the subs have an email address attached to them the player that is going to miss a game can go email a sub to fill in for them.

This addition came as a request from one of the users of the site.

We've combined two of our best sites. Now on the top of our RecTeamStats page you will find a link that will take you to a message board for your team. This is provides a location for teams to post notes, inform everyone about rain outs or do some trash talking. This link is public and can be linked to directly without needed to log into your teams web site. The message board address is http://www.recteamstats.com/intouch.

This is a reminder to everyone that the spring softball and baseball seasons are starting again. Can't you smell the freshly cut grass and sweaty gym socks?
To help me commemorate the start of this annual change of weather and increase in outdoor activity, you can let all the players and coaches you know about an excellent opportunity. There have been a lot of improvements made to the Stock Report Generator, http://www.recteamstats.com/stockreports, the use of user names have been causing problems for some users so now everything is based on the group name. The user documentation has not been updated yet so done let it mess you up.

Thanks to comments from one of the uses of RTS Review, www.recteamstats.com/review, all comments are now displayed directly on the display screen instead of having to navigate to a separate page to see if any comments have been made.

I've also started building out the soccer section to RecTeamStats, if this is something that you'd be interested in and have ideas on the stats you would like to track let me know ASAP.

I made some much needed improvements to the stock report generator. If you are either a member of a stock club of have a reason to have your portfolio stored on the Internet this could be very useful for you. The site is also really handy for standardizing the way that you research stocks. The address is www.recteamstats.com/stockreport, I'm working on the user guide and should have it posted in the next week.

I've cleaned up and added a couple items to the "Today's ..." section, www.recteamstats.com/start. If you haven't already, this makes for a great home page so you can learn something new every day. I have to say that as far as being able to link to a page with random information, Wiki is the easiest.
